Default What to do if you don't have the original paperwork?

Anthony and other members of the forum,

I have a question that I would like to start a discussion on.

What do you do in the event that you want to (really bad) purchase a particular classic car but the car's owner is unable to provide the original paperwork for the car? Is there any way to replace the paperwork?
